Thrive Payments and Iowa Museum Association

WAKEFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS (October 6, 2016) ― Thrive Payments and the Iowa Museum Association (IMA) today announced an alliance designed to improve payment acceptance services for IMA members. As a result of this alliance, IMA members will have the opportunity to enhance their existing services, reduce expenses and improve security of card data. In addition, every IMA member processing through Thrive Payments supports IMA’s mission.

Said Cynthia Sweet, Executive Director, Iowa Museum Association “New technologies bring solutions that improve efficiency and allow organizational growth. The Iowa Museum Association understands its members need information about and access to modern, reliable systems and equipment that provide solutions to present and future needs.  The IMA's partnership with Thrive Payments will allow IMA members access to quality merchant services that can be tailored specifically to their organizational needs.  Our goal is to provide an opportunity for IMA members to compare products and choose a service that will best allow them to serve their members and guests and advance their mission”.

Ted Keith, Jr., CEO of Thrive Payments noted “This alliance will help IMA members cut cost, utilize new technologies and strengthen data security. Our suite of products includes traditional countertop solutions, as well as new mobile and tablet-based systems and the ability to integrate secure, cloud-based POS systems for larger museums.” Keith also noted “Analyzing payment acceptance services is challenging for any organization, involving complex pricing, technical PCI-DSS data security requirements and new technologies, such as EMV-chip, acceptance and smartphone-based processing such as Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Android Pay. Our objective is to help IMA members optimize their service, saving them money and improving the guest experience.”

Keith noted that Thrive Payments offers a broad array of payment products and services, including NCR Silver tablet-based POS systems, AprivaPay Plus mobile acceptance, Verifone point-of-sale hardware systems, five different processing platforms, Apriva secure gateway services and concierge data security services from Payload Networks, LLC.

Thrive Payments is active in the museum industry and is a member of all six regional museum associations in the U.S., as well as a growing number of state museum associations.
